One similarity between butter and cream is that they are both dairy products. One main difference is its fat content. Butter is known to be high in fat content, about 80%, while the cream will not have a lot of fat with about up to 55% of milkfat. Take note that the amount of milkfat will depend on the brand and the type of products that you would choose to get. They are also used for different purposes. Butter can be used in order to make bread more flavorful, and it can also be used for cooking. The cream can be used for different purposes but definitely in order to make a lot of dishes creamy. Butter and cream can be used for both sweet and savory food products.
