Milk and Lactaid milk are dairy products that have some similarities, but they are also entirely different beverages. One of the most significant differences between milk and Lactaid milk is that Lactaid does not have lactose. Therefore, Lactaid milk is preferred by people who have problems with the digestion of lactose. Lactaid milk contains only Lactaid enzymes, which break down the lactose into simple sugars, galactose, and glucose. When the sugar is divided down, it becomes easy for the person who had difficulties with lactose. Milk contains essential nutrients and vitamins, while Lactaid has only half the protein that milk does. The overall fat content of milk depends on the type of milk that is being ingested.
