The rottweiler possesses a powerful and muscular body. German and American Rottweilers are very similar, but they do possess a few distinct differences—German Rottweilers are shorter and stockier with an unusually large head. American Rottweilers are taller with longer legs and a smaller head.

A genuine German Rottweiler is born in Germany, just as an actual American Rottweiler is born in America. Germans like to bring their rottweilers up to have a mild temperament and personality and an obedient, intelligent mind. They are compatible for use as companion dogs, as well as service dogs for the disabled and the blind. They can also be security dogs, working dogs, or family dogs.

Another difference between the American Rottweiler and the German rottweiler is that the American rottweiler is a slightly smaller build, and they even have their signature docked tail, which is a significant difference from Germany's Rottweilers.
