Business writing and academic writing are two different writing styles that are popularly put in use when needed. First of all, understand that business writing is not as rigid as academic writing. Business writing had to do with holding on to an existing topic and write more content about it. It does not really need any frill and filler sentences as such. On the other hand, academic writing is all about giving topnotch content about a topic.

This entails formal and correct spellings of words, with good vocabulary, and well-constructed sentences. In addition, Business writing is a fact that is most likely we'll be known by people, so you must write nothing but factual contents. Academic writing still gives a chance for the writer to give his or her opinions on the topic being written. As simple as business writing might be, it must not be plagiarized content, as that is unacceptable.

The plagiarism content in academic writing is not really taken that seriously. However, referencing is widely demanded in academic writing than in business writing.
