Some people become confused with NBA and ABA because they assume that these are the same probably because they are both related to basketball. NBA means the National Basketball Association and ABA refers to the American Basketball Association.
The ABA and NBA both consist of different teams that come from various regions of the US.

The NBA has 30 teams, and they are all made up of professionals who have been drafted. The ABA, on the other hand, is made up of different college players, and there are so many teams that are available. Right now, there are 60 teams that make up the ABA league.
