The main difference between RAM and CPU are the things that they would do when they are being used on a computer. RAM stands for Random Access Memory. It is in charge of the actions that would need to be done by various applications that you are using on a computer. The RAM can hold the short-term data of the computer.

The CPU, on the other hand, is the brain of the computer. Without the CPU, you can expect that the computer will not work at all. It is also the CPU that will hold all of the data that you may need to save. It will make sure that your computer will function accordingly. The faster your RAM is, the faster that the computer will work. This is definitely something that you can consider.

RAM and CPU are both computer-related terms, where RAM stands for Random-access memory, and CPU stands for Central Processing Unit. The CPU is the main processor that runs the whole show by loading and executing programs, whereas the RAM stores working data so that you can load it quickly. CPU chips are measured in bits and come in 32 and 64, and a 32-bit CPU can process 4 gigabytes of information at any given time.

RAM comes in many sizes and has nothing to do with the speed of the computer; however, you do need both RAM and CPU to run your computer. CPU storing and running the programs and RAM helping to recall data that is frequently used.
