Major software companies own both Gmail and Hotmail, and Hotmail is one of the pioneers in terms of providers of free webmail services. Its procurement by Microsoft included it in the MSN list of services. Gmail is Google’s email service.

It compelled the major email service providers to look at their product and develop something better than mediocre email service. Gmail users can see Google Docs as well as other items in the Google labs. Hotmail clients can also make use of other Microsoft services from the Hotmail interface.

Hotmail remains true to its customary folders to separate and organize their emails. Gmail stopped using folders, and it designed the use of tags in isolated emails. Gmail sustains a broad limit on sending files, which is set at 20mb. Hotmail, on the other hand, only has 10mb files.

Hotmail and Gmail are both webmail providers. One of the primary differences between the two is that Hotmail is the older of the two. Hotmail is arguably one of the earliest webmail providers to be released. Hotmail is now one of the services of Microsoft. On the other hand, Gmail was released by Google as one of its services. The introduction of Gmail by Google has made other webmail providers stepped up their game. Hotmail and Gmail get their profits by displaying ads on the devices of the users. However, Gmail displays ads that are not too big on the screen of the users who enjoy their free services. In contrast, Hotmail displays big ads on the screen of the users. At times, these big ads can be distracting and annoying, especially when you have important mails to view. With Gmail, users can send files up to 20mb. In contrast, users can only send files that are more than 10Mb on Hotmail.

There are different types of email address providers that you can choose from. Two of the most popular are Gmail and Hotmail. They will provide you with the same features and services but the main difference is that they are made by different companies. Gmail is created by Google. Using Gmail will allow you to make use of Gsuite which is composed of various features that can make work easier for you. Hotmail, on the other hand, is developed by Microsoft. Once again, having a Hotmail account will allow you to access different types of features and programs that are being offered by Microsoft. It will just depend on you which one you would like to use more.
