Race is a classification of individuals according to the color of their skin, and culture is a classification of persons according to their beliefs and morals pertaining to spirituality. Religion or region language can also determine the difference between cultures. Race is more about the physical characteristics of a person.

For example, if your parents are black, then you will be black as well. Race can sometimes even determine someone’s culture. Culture is not provided for us through genes like race is. It does, however, embody a shared belief and principles such as right versus wrong.

Culture also demonstrates self- expression. There can be a plethora of conflicts that arise due to people’s beliefs and their race. There can be discrimination across these lines, which can lead to more serious situations such as war.

Race refers to a group of people classified according to their geographic ancestry, heritage characteristics, and physical appearance. The term race has a lot to do with certain physical heritable traits that a group of people has in common. By this, we're talking about the physical characteristics that are common to a lot of people. For instance, the predominant skin color of some people in some parts of the world is black, most especially in Africa. That's why they are usually called black people. The concept of culture, on the other hand, has to do with the beliefs and values of people belonging to a particular geographical location. The culture of a society has a lot to do with the religion, language, arts, lifestyles of people living in that society. Unlike race that is hereditary, culture is not. Your race can be determined by certain physical features. In contrast, your culture will show through things that have constituted your beliefs and values.

Culture and race may seem similar to a lot of people. Some may even use these two terms interchangeably. You have to know that “race” is something that can be used to describe biology. For example, you may want to talk about the person’s overall physical appearance, you will be able to describe that person based on the person’s race. You can say some features that will be similar to a certain race. When you say “culture,” however, you are referring to some of the traditions and other beliefs that the race may have as a whole. For example, in Japanese culture, they normally bow to show off their respect towards other people. In other cultures, this may not prove to be true.
