The so much importance of alchemy, a kind of Islamic civilization which started around ninth the century, cannot be overemphasized. This type of civilization that started as a form of knowledge was inherited from India, Greece, Persia, and other ancient countries that were leading in terms of civilization. No doubt, alchemy contributed to a lot of discoveries and many scientific types of research of the ancient world, especially within Islamic society.

Alchemy has evolved to be the chemistry of this present world. That's why the history of chemistry will always seem incomplete without any acknowledgment of the contribution of alchemy and the great work done by philosophers like Aristotle. His contributions, together with what the Islamic scholars were able to add, actually transformed into what the Islamic society is enjoying today.

Alchemy and chemistry are both important to the world of Islam. Scholars during the medieval Islamic time studied these concepts deeply. They were important to the Islamic world because the people of Islam made significant impacts on them. In regards to alchemy, Persian Jabir Ibn Hayyan studied metals and provided detailed characteristics about them, including which qualities of the metals were interior and exterior.
