The purpose of augmented reality is to make it so that the user cannot tell the difference. For example, pilots learn how to fly by using a simulator. The army uses augmented reality by giving soldiers improved situational awareness by utilizing augmented tactical reality. It helps soldiers to determine the location of people, whether it's a fellow soldier or an enemy.

Even though you might not necessarily be able to react in real-time, it allows you to learn how to respond should a tricky situation come to pass. Augmented reality will enable us to manipulate the current environment by developing the user's perception through digitally enhanced stimulus.

The correct answer to this question is Yes. Those that are in the field of augmented reality work with the goal in mind of replacing real-life experiences. Augmented reality is currently done through glasses, but innovations are being made to be able to use contact lenses in the future.

Augmented reality started out for uses in games and social experiences. Now it is expanding into businesses use them. For example, automotive companies can use reality to give the driver a life-like feel of the car. The same goes for a real estate agent and homeowner. Augmented reality is predicted to expand into helping people with healing and travel.
