Bacterial cells belong to a group which is called prokaryotes. Prokaryotic cells do not possess membrane-bound organelles, including a nucleus, while eukaryotic cells consist of these particular organelles. Unicellular organisms that don't have membrane-bound organelles. Unicellular organisms that are lacking a membrane are referred to as prokaryotic cells.

The cell membrane of the prokaryotic encompasses water-soluble proteins, metabolites, and DNA in the cytoplasm. They do not display separate compartments but microcompartments that act as primitive organelles. Protein shells create these. There are four different shapes and proper names of the bacteria: spherical shape (cocci), rod-shaped (bacilli), spiral-shaped (spirochete), and comma-shaped (Vibro).

Prokaryotic All bacterial cells are prokaryotic. Bacteria are a single-celled microscopic organism. Bacterial cell lacks a membrane-bound nucleus, specialized membrane-bound organelles like mitochondria and lysosomes. Bacteria also lack the plasma membrane. All these features are characteristic of prokaryotic organisms. Prokaryotes also have a single circular DNA chromosome, which is much smaller than DNA in eukaryotes.

DNA is stored in the nucleoid, which is found in the cytoplasm. Eukaryotic cells, on the other hand, contain membrane-bound organelles such as mitochondria, Golgi apparatus, chloroplast, endoplasmic reticulum, and so on. It also includes a nucleus. DNA in eukaryotes is linear, and they are stored as chromosomes in the nucleus. Eukaryotes can be single-celled or multi-celled.
