Automation has impacted the employment system in good and bad ways. To start with the bad, automation has replaced the work that humans did with machines. Automation has taken away many jobs from humans that need them and given them to machines.

This has caused many people to go into debt, lost homes, and have difficulty bouncing back from jobs they have had for years. Many have protested automation for this purpose alone. However, on the other hand, there are benefits to automation. Most of the pros benefit the company. For one, automation reduces the costs of labor. It also increases productivity.

The Automation system has affected the employment system adversely and positively. Over time, the role of labor has been gradually replaced by machines, which, as such, results in the retrenchment of many workers in the industry today. Although these retrenchments are adverse, nevertheless, it resulted in the employment of specialists with enough knowledge of how to operate these machines.

About ten years back before automation fully came into the industry, many retrenched workers protested bitterly since their source of livelihood had been cut short. Automation may come with a lot of benefits, but its effect on employment in recent years has not been really encouraging, but what does it matter to employers? All that matters is the result, and if the result they need is produced due to automation, they have no reason to retract their actions.
