Intermittent fasting is a method that people use when they want to lose weight and become healthier. Yet, this method is not for everyone. This cannot be done by people who usually take medications during mealtime. It is also not a good method to try by those who would need to do heavy tasks. Those who are underweight should avoid fasting as it may take a toll on the body. There is also a tendency for you to overeat during the time frame when you are supposed to eat. You should eat healthy food that will be enough to provide the nutrients that your body needs. Some people also forget to drink while doing intermittent fasting, which can lead to their dehydration. Remember to drink enough water to avoid this side effect.

Many people are adopting intermittent fasting as an eating pattern because of its benefit to their health. However, many people also fail to recognize that intermittent fasting can have negative impacts on them. Intermittent fasting is associated with headache, fatigue, irritability, nausea, dizziness, hair loss, constipation, change in the menstrual cycle, mood changes, dehydration, persistent hunger, bloating, heartburn, increase cravings, change in body temperature, poor work performance and so on. Pregnant women and children are advised to avoid intermittent fasting, as this can cause them to become hypoglycemic. People with certain chronic diseases and eating disorders are also not advised to try intermittent fasting. If you have any medical condition or part of any of the categories of people discussed above, visit your doctor before you begin an intermitting fasting eating plan.
