Who are the winners of the Gotham Awards 2019?

Gotham is also known as independent film awards. This is an awards show for different independent films. Some of the winners for the year 2019 are the following: Taylor Russell for Breakthrough Actor Award; Ava DuVernay for Film Tribute Award; Akwafina is one of the winners that is very popular right now. She won the Best Actress Award, and a lot of people are very happy for her.

Adam Driver won the Best Actor Award. “When They See Us” is the winner for the best breakthrough series. Laura Dern also won the Film Tribute Award as well as Sam Rockwell and Glen Basner. The Best Documentary goes to “American Factory.” A lot of people are mostly happy with the winners of these awards.

The winners of the Gotham Awards are determined by a jury of filmmakers, producers, writers, and other notable figures in the industry. The Audience Award is selected by IFP (Independent Film Awards) members through online voting. Noah Baumbach's “Marriage Story” was most impressive at the Gotham Awards, earning four wins, including Best Feature and Best Actor for Adam Driver.

The other acting awards went to Awkwafina for “The Farewell” for Best Actress, and Taylor Russel for “Waves” for Breakthrough Actress. “American Factory” was named the year’s best documentary, and Laure DeClermont Tonnerre nabbed the win for the Breakthrough Director category for "The Mustang." In the television categories, the awards went to the Netflix's darling, "When they see us” and the Hulu sitcom “PEN15”.
