Carnivores are usually known to be strong. They are known for their strength and speed because they need these things to ensure that they will be able to catch prey. For example, Cheetahs are the fastest animals on earth because the second fastest land animal is its prey. It needs to run fast so that it will be able to survive and eat the meat of its prey.
Carnivores are also known to have sharp teeth that they would use in order to tear meat properly. Some of them will also have claws that can be very effective in capturing prey whenever they need to do so. Take note that there is still some other classification of carnivores that are available that will set them apart from each other.
Carnivores are plants and animals that consume the flesh of other animals as food. Carnivores come in many different shapes and sizes. They have specialized teeth to help with tearing of meat. Examples are Lions, tigers, eagles, foxes, and sharks. Their long and sharp canine teeth help them to grip and tear their prey. They also have powerful jaws — their very large temporalis muscles, help in pulling the lower jaw upwards and backward towards the skull.
Many carnivores also have paw and claws, which helps them in climbing, gripping, digging, and slicing, capturing, and tearing their prey. Unlike herbivores, carnivores have less complicated digestive systems. For instance, most herbivores have multiple stomachs, but carnivores have just one stomach. Carnivores also have high protein requirements. Carnivores also lack certain digestive enzymes required to digest plant-based food.
