The fact is that both are excellent ways of gaining knowledge. The issue now is to determine which of the two is a better way of gaining more knowledge, and that also depends on how you choose to look at it. There is no doubt, books are sources of vital information that you need for your all-round growth in life, but you're limited to the thoughts or perspectives and even the judgment of the writer, and which may not always be good judgment. I have read different kinds of books that contain contradicting facts and information.

However, when you travel and have the chance to look at what you are looking for by yourself, there is no way you're going to misjudge or misguide yourself. Traveling helps you to see things with your own eyes, and it gives you a clearer picture of those things which you have read in your books. However, books will be much more appreciated if you can't finance your trip to where you will get the needed information that you desire.

Books are the most practical way to gain knowledge, and libraries are an exceptional place to find books on various topics and all different authors. There is usually a local library in every county, and a library card is often free. Reading stories helps to develop creativity and spark your imagination. Besides, if you are on vacation, you need to have something to talk about with people you meet.

There are so many books that were mandatory to read in school, and classics are often favorites among which people have in common. Books are also the most effective way to learn. Books take you places while you are sitting still. Traveling tends to require a lot of money. Also, you don't have to quit their job to read a book. However, many people leave their jobs to travel.
