There are many reasons why animals are going extinct. One of the main reasons is climate change. Earth is getting hotter and hotter, which means the animals that were living in colder areas are going away. The cold air is making it difficult for mammals in colder areas to adapt. Another reason why animals are going extinct is due to disease.

Diseases have wiped out species because of low immune systems and deadly bacteria. Another reason why animals are going extinct is due to a loss of habitat. With the growing population, more trees are being chopped down, which eliminates homes for animals.

It is safe to say that not only animals are going extinct; some plants are going extinct too. Let’s focus on why animals are going extinct. Most animal species have become extinct, mainly because of two reasons. These reasons are loss of habitat and the loss of genetic variation. The loss of habitat contributes greatly to why animals are becoming extinct. Human activities such as housing and agriculture reduce the habitat available or these animals. These activities eliminate animals from their native habitat.

Loss or lack of genetic variation makes animals become endangered. An example of this is the Cheetah because they have very little genetic variation. Lack of genetic vibration makes it difficult for animals to survive in the ever-changing environment.

There are just too many humans that are available right now, and they are responsible for making certain animals go extinct. Aside from people who may want to hunt animals, there are also some other reasons why animals may go extinct. There are some who lose their habitat naturally because of the changes that are happening in the world.

Some would lose their habitat because of human intervention. The more that the world keeps on developing, the more that native and habitat species will probably be gone in a few more years. It will be ideal if people start to take care of the natural habitat of animals so that they will not cause the extinction of certain animals.
