NASA is known to have a lot of achievements, and people are sometimes confused, which of the achievements that NASA was able to do can be considered to be the best. The Space Shuttle Program is considered to be one of the best ones available. This started in the year 1972, and it continued up until 2011. Another great achievement is also Apollo.

Some will consider this to be one of the breakthrough achievements that NASA has done. The fact that there were astronauts that we're able to land the moon can already be considered a great achievement, especially since it has not been done yet since then.

The Space Shuttle program was carried out by the National Aeronautics and Space Administration, which accomplished routine transportation for the earth to orbit crew and cargo for thirty years. The Space Shuttle was made of an orbiter launched with two reusable solid rocket boosters and a throwaway external fuel tank. It took up to 50,000 pounds of payload into low orbit. When its mission was concluded, the orbiter would penetrate the earth's atmosphere and lands in the same way as a glider with its home base being the Kennedy Space Center or Edwards Air Force Base.

The shuttle is the only winged human-crewed spacecraft to have reached orbit and landing, and the single reusable human-crewed space vehicle that has ever made numerous flights into an orbit. Its mission involved transporting large payloads to different orbits, providing crew rotation for the space station, and completing service missions on the Hubble Space Telescope. The Space Shuttle enacted over 150 launches over a fifteen-year plan.

On the 1st of October 1958, the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) became operational. NASA is the United States exploration program. Over the past 60 years, NASA has achieved incredible milestones that you would never imagine mankind can achieve. This makes it difficult to determine the biggest of them all. For me, I think the Apollo 11 Moon landing remains one of the biggest achievements by NASA.

On the 20th of July in 1969, Commander Neil Armstrong landed on the moon. He was the first human to step foot on the moon. Apollo 11 was the spacecraft that first landed humans on the Moon. It was on the moon for a period of 21 hours. The three astronauts on Apollo 11 were: Neil Armstrong - the Mission Commander, Edwin 'Buzz' Aldrin – the lunar module pilot, and Michael Collins - command module pilot.

NASA has achieved a lot of great things. This explains why there are a lot of people who are interested in working for NASA. They feel that if they can become employees of this place, they would also learn a lot of things. People may have different opinions on what their greatest achievement is. Some would say that it is the Kepler Space Telescope.

This is designed to look for planets that have some similarities to theEarth. Another achievement that people cannot forget is New Horizons. This has made it easier for Pluto to become better known because it made the image of Pluto become clearer to a lot of people. Some would say that the Apollo mission is still the best as this was the time when moon landing became possible.
