The correct answer to this question is 1885. President's Day was created as a day to celebrate George Washington, who was the first president of the United States. The day was originally celebrated on February 22, which was George Washington's birthday. Then, in 1971, the meaning and the date of the day changed.

Instead of being celebrated on February 22, President's Day is now celebrated every third Monday in February. Along with that, instead of being a day to celebrate George Washington, it is now a day to celebrate all men that have served as the President of the United States.

The first-ever Presidents Day was celebrated back in 1885. This means that there are so many decades that have already passed since the first celebration. There was already a change when it would actually be celebrated. Before, it was celebrated on the actual date of George Washington’s birthday, which is on February 22.

This occurred for many years until 1971, when the celebration was changed to every third Monday of February. There are a lot of people who look forward to this holiday not only because they would like to commemorate the past presidents of the United States but also because this gives them the chance to have a long weekend. The celebration may vary from state to state.
