How did Trump become president?

When Trump won the election in 2016, many people were baffled that he beat out a longtime and experienced politician. Trump was a businessman and reality star with no political experience, but he won because he appealed to a certain group of people who felt they had been unheard for so many years. Another reason why Trump won was that he campaigned hard.

One downfall of Clinton was that she and her team felt they did not have to campaign in certain areas and that they would automatically have the votes in certain states. Instead, Trump and his team campaigned all over the United States and made appearances in every state.

When Trump ran for the presidency back in 2016, people scoffed at his nerve. A lot of people were saying that, of course, he would not win. It probably came as a shock to a lot of people when he actually won. The real question is, what made Trump win? Trump used to be a one-man team. What made Trump win was probably his love for big rallies. It also did not help Hillary that she forgot to rally in certain places that could have made her win.

What made Trump win was also the type of emotions that he tapped in people. It seems that a lot of “real” Americans feel that they are being oppressed, or they are not being given as many opportunities as compared to before because of the illegal immigrants. Due to this, people have decided that they would vote for him. They felt that they also want to make “America great again.”
