India is one of the highest populated countries in the world. This increase in overpopulation has increased in India, and it has had a negative impact on the country. One of the effects of overpopulation in India is the failure of being able to adequately economic plan or develop for the region.

When it comes to overpopulation, a lot of times, the country is unable to prepare for the rise in population that often happens in a quick manner. Another impact that overpopulation has on the country of India is an increase in homelessness and starvation, which is a result of the inability to effectively plan economically.

The rising population in India has had a negative impact on the success of economic planning and development. High birth frequency and low anticipation of life mean a countless sum of dependents in India's overall population. Statistics show that in India, 35 percent of the population is comprised of people who are less than 14 years old.

At such a young age, children have to depend on their caretakers for subsistence. They are unproductive consumers, and as such, their dependence decreases the capacity of the people to save. Thus, the rate of capital formation falls. Also, people are not able to obtain enough food to survive. The low availability of food has a detrimental effect on health and productivity.

It seems that there are many things that have happened to India because of overpopulation. They have started to have issues with having enough drinking water mainly because there are just too many people who need water to survive but not enough clean water for everyone.

The sewage system may also get clogged up more often because there are too many people who may rely on its use. There is also a rapid depletion of their natural resources. India is supposed to be rich in natural resources, but all of these resources are starting to become scarcer as time goes by. The younger generation also has the tendency to die young because of starvation and malnutrition.
