Primary cells and secondary cells have many differences. Primary cells cannot be recharged. They are a lot cheaper to acquire than a secondary cell. Primary cells are known to have a high density, and they get discharged in a slow manner.

Primary cells are also easy for you. They are also known as dry cells because there is no fluid inside the cells. It is also important to note that the chemical reactions that occur in this type of cell are irreversible. Secondary cells can be recharged; this makes them more economical to use.

However, secondary cells have a smaller density. Secondary cells are made from molten salt and wet cells. Bear in mind that the internal resistance in secondary cells is much lower than the resistance is primary cells. The chemical reaction in secondary cells is reversible.

The key difference between primary cells and secondary cells is reusability. Secondary cells can be reused repeatedly, while the primary cells can only be used once. Primary cells should not be recharged because it is dangerous to attempt recharge and may explode.

Primary cells are typically found in electric toys, clocks, wristwatches, and domestic remote controllers. Secondary cells are also chemical cells, but they may be restored for reuse. The chemical reaction which generates electricity is reversible, and the cell can be utilized as a new one after it is recharged.

The cell can be used again, but the lifetime is lessened. A common use for secondary batteries includes starting, lighting, and igniting vehicles. They are also used in power supplies, telecommunications, and tools.
