Some may assume that AIDS and HIV are the same, but actually, they are not. HIV is known to be the virus that people may carry with them. There are some people who have HIV, but they regularly take medications to ensure that they would be able to live a normal life. Those who have AIDS have had HIV before, but the virus has already developed into this condition.

Some people refer to AIDS as stage 3 HIV. People who have AIDS usually have a compromised immune system. They can develop certain diseases easily and will find it hard to recover from the conditions because their immune system is not working properly anymore.
