The five principles of learning are the following: Participation, Repetition, Relevance, Transference, and Feedback. Some people are unable to learn because they do not participate in the first place. If they miss the first principle of learning, it will be harder to go to the other possible steps that need to be done.

Once they have participated, they can do the same things for quite some time until it will become familiar to them. People will always work better in a familiar setting. They should also realize why something is significant to them and what they are doing.

This will make them more eager to continuously learn and utilize the new ideas that they have gathered. They will then use their new knowledge and skills and apply these things to what they are doing. What you should do is to provide feedback. Let them know that they are doing well. It will encourage them to learn even more.

Do remember that the principles of learning are not only applicable domestically. They can also be applied internationally. These five principles are learning, repetition, relevance, transference, and feedback. It is not enough that a person has already learned. He would need to do it several times before he would be able to develop skills that are needed to do the tasks repeatedly.

Transference is also necessary because there are instances when the same skills are needed for another set of task. The learner should have the ability to realize which skills are needed to do the task properly. The learner will usually appreciate things better when they can see the relevance of what they are doing to the company. Lastly, you should not forget to provide feedback so that your staff will know if they did well or what things they need to improve on.
