Regression is a type of statistical method that is used to ensure that there is a relationship between the different sets of variables that are available. This is the type of method used to gain a better understanding of one dependent variable of an independent variable. ANOVA is also another statistical tool, but this is used to test some random variables to see if they can establish a relationship.

Regression is normally used in order to forecast possible events that may occur based on the relationship of the variables, while ANOVA can be used to know potential relationships right now with the use of different types of data. Regression is considered to be an easier technique to do as compared to ANOVA.
