It was Maine that celebrated Patriot’s Day first. Massachusetts also started celebrating this holiday. For this day that happens at different times every year, people are allowed to take some time off from work. They would have a day off and they can just participate in the different festivities and activities that are happening in their state.

The main reason why this is so important is that it signifies the first struggle that the Ancestors did so that they can become free. It is a known fact that it also took time before America was free from other colonizers. This shows that people have wanted freedom since then.
