Patriots’ Day is meant to commemorate the battle of Lexington and Concord which was fought near Boston. This holiday is celebrated more by those who are living in Massachusetts and also in Maine. This means that everyone will take a day off. It would depend on establishments if they would like to be closed or open that day.

Since 1775 this has already been celebrated and there are a lot of activities that people do in order to commemorate this situation. There are some who would join the different marathons that are set to happen that day. Students are usually given enough information so that they will know why this holiday is being celebrated.
