Instagram and Twitter are two examples of social media platforms. Both are similar in that they were created for content and media sharing. However, there are a lot of differences between the two social media platforms. Instagram was created in 2010, and it was created solely for media sharing; that is, it is a platform where you can post pictures, short videos for friends to view. Operations on twitter are more than media sharing; you can post different content on twitter. In fact, twitter is a good platform for politicians and celebrities because of news on twitter trends very easily.

On Twitter, you can't post any content using more than 140 characters. Instagram, on the other hand, does not really have a specific character limit. Twitter supports posting of ordinary text, video, pictures, and it is a good platform to conduct polls. Instagram focuses mainly on media sharing. This means you can only post pictures, GIFs, videos, and add captions or hashtags to them.

Twitter seems to have more heat on it, at least in recent years, due to its celebrity posts and updates. The site is infamous for its strict character limits on all posts. Twitter is also popular because of its content and media sharing. The re-tweet, quote, and reply functions allow for lots of action. Twitter only has a 140- character limit, whereas Instagram does not have a particular word limit to its posts.

However, specific observations have stated a cap after 2,200 characters. Instagram is entirely focused on the media aspect of a post, and it is strictly a social media platform for sharing media. It is utilized for branding, advertising, and capitalizing on its photo posts. Uploading on Instagram involves at least one photo or video.

Instagram and Twitter are among the famous social media; millions of people use nowadays. Both are designed to share content and media among your followers or to the public if your account is not private. The main differences between these two are Instagram focuses on posting photos and videos that other users could like, comment, or repost (via a third-party app). Many social influencers first gained their popularity through their aesthetic-pleasing posts.

You could look like a professional photographer, videographer, or a product model depending on your posts and captions to them as well. If Instagram focuses on photos and videos, Twitter is more of a text-only platform. If you are having a bad day, tweet it. Good? Hungry? Annoyed? Tweet it. You are not required to post any photo just remember its 140-character limit per post.

Twitter and Instagram are known to be social media platforms that are meant to help people share different content. The main difference is that Twitter is more ideal to be used when you want to share some details and information.

Twitter is even used for polls. Some even use Twitter when they want to rant about some details. Instagram is known to be used for providing different images so that you can share nice pictures. It took some time before people were able to catch on with how Instagram can be used. Right now, people will only post pictures on social media if the pictures are well-curated and pretty enough to be shared.
