Soccer and hockey are both sports that have several similarities that some people even take one for the other. But they actually have few differences between them, which shall be discussed in this article. The core attributes of an athlete are the physique, techniques, and tactics. Soccer and hockey are both competitive team sports in which the object of both is to score. In soccer, the players use their feet to move the ball forward toward the opponent's goal, making passes to teammates to maintain possession of the ball. A player can dribble when he passes opponents. In hockey, the action is caused by skating, and a hockey stick is used to pass the puck to other teammates during play.

Soccer and hockey are two different types of sports. Soccer is usually played in the field whereas hockey is played on ice. People usually have different opinions regarding which sport is better. Soccer requires a lot of body strength because it would involve players running around a vast field non-stop. Hockey would require more athleticism because it can be a bit complicated to make the right moves, especially on ice.

Some people are naturally good at ice skating but those who are learning it for the first time will definitely find this hard. Soccer players will also use their feet so that they can transfer the ball from place to place while hockey would require the players to use hockey sticks to move the puck.
