Soccer and hockey are both sports that have several similarities that some people even take one for the other. But they actually have few differences between them, which shall be discussed in this article. The core attributes of an athlete are the physique, techniques, and tactics. The hockey players are usually known to be of great strength and fitness. Likewise, the hockey players; but a soccer player is demanded to have more fitness while a hockey player is demanded to have more strength.

The two sports both require some physical demo, but hockey sport is more of a physical game than football. The two sports also require techniques, but the soccer game requires more technique than the hockey game. The field of soccer is usually on grassy land, while the field of play for a hockey game is usually on icy ground. Soccer boots are used in soccer, whereby the player moves the ball with his feet. But hockey players use the skating boot and hockey sticks to move the puck.

Soccer and hockey are both competitive team sports in which the object of both is to score. In soccer, the players use their feet to move the ball forward toward the opponent's goal, making passes to teammates to maintain possession of the ball. A player can dribble when he passes opponents. In hockey, the action is caused by skating, and a hockey stick is used to pass the puck to other teammates during play.

Passing and shooting occur at high speeds of the puck, so the goalkeeper requires excellent levels of concentration and skill. Soccer is played on the grass in a park or on a field, while hockey is played on the ice. Soccer demands more body strength, while hockey requires more athletic ability.

Soccer and hockey are two different types of sports. Soccer is usually played in the field whereas hockey is played on ice. People usually have different opinions regarding which sport is better. Soccer requires a lot of body strength because it would involve players running around a vast field non-stop. Hockey would require more athleticism because it can be a bit complicated to make the right moves, especially on ice.

Some people are naturally good at ice skating but those who are learning it for the first time will definitely find this hard. Soccer players will also use their feet so that they can transfer the ball from place to place while hockey would require the players to use hockey sticks to move the puck.
