Cuvee is the term used to refer to both sparkling and still wines, and it is bulk wine or a combination of several wines. Brut is a classification of the dryness of wine and would be the driest produced by the winery. In champagne, Cuvee refers to the first pressed or most wanted grape juice in the production of wine. Outside champagne, Cuvee refers to a particular blend of still or flat wine that contains more than one grape variety.

Cuvee is used to label unique or select wines, and the term Cuvees used on wine labels to denote higher quality. Brut sparkling wine is based upon the amount of sugar it contains, and brut sparkling wine is the most popular category of sparkling wine. Brut indicates that the wine has no hint of sweetness and it contains no more than twelve grams of residual sugar.

Cuvee and brut are both known to refer to sparkling wines which a lot of people seem to like. This could also mean the different wines that are created using the champagne method. The Cuvee is known to be a mixture of Chardonnay and Pinot Noir.

Brut is also known as a type of dry champagne. In fact, it is the driest type of champagne that you can find. When you find a wine that says “Extra Brut,” you can already expect that this type of wine is going to be extremely dry that it will already be hard to swallow, but it seems that a lot of people like their wine like this, so they do not mind choosing this over all the other types.
