The Amish and Mennonite are two groups of people who are unique to the average person in the United States. They are a group of people who are known for building their own houses as opposed to hiring a contractor to build your home. Jakob Amman founded the Amish, and they usually ride in horse and buggies. They do not use modern technologies like television or even electricity.

Mennonites, on the other hand, are not as strict. They do use modern techniques. The Amish are a smaller group of the Mennonites with the Mennonites being a larger category of people. The Amish are strict and lead simple lives, but the Mennonites are standard, like the other people in the community.
