Some may feel that abuse and neglect are the same probably because they are usually referred to as negative things. There are different types of abuse that may occur. This is usually done when another person hurts another person intentionally with an intent to destroy and truly affect the person strongly physically, mentally, and emotionally.

Neglect means intentionally forgetting that the person exists. The person will be deprived of the things that may be needed in order to live a comfortable life or even to survive. Abuse and neglect are both types of mistreatments and they will both affect people very much. There may be more types of abuse that are available but it can be hard to experience both.

Two terms which are usually used in tandem, and under the context of the mistreatment of children are abuse and neglect. Abuse can be physical, mental, sexual, or even spiritual. Misuse of power is often a factor in child abuse and neglect, and it contributes to the harmful or violent aspect of the mistreatment of the child. There are many symptoms of child abuse.

These include bruises, fractures, burns, and even poisoning. Much like abuse, neglect can also inflict harm to small kids. This harm can be physical neglect, educational neglect, emotional neglect, and it may even go as far as neglecting the medical needs of children. Negligence can sometimes happen if someone has a child, but they do not want to be a parent. It is selfish and irresponsible to neglect a child
