VPS is the short form of Virtual Private Service. It is a form of technology that allows computer hardware to support multiple servers at the same time. Each server is separated in such a way that the operation in one won't affect the other, yet all the servers are connected to the same machine. Cloud Instance Computing is like a technology that provides more resources for independent servers rather than being connected to a machine. That's why cloud instance computing can be regarded as VPS, but VPS cannot be classified as cloud instance computing.

In cloud instance computing, the servers that are provided by single computer hardware in VPS is available as a software in cloud instance computing so that It can run on multiple different computers. When there are maximum servers on VPS, it can result in a slow down, whereas you don't experience this while using cloud instance computing even at peak hours since you do not depend on a particular computer.

The main difference is VPS hosting affords you with a cybernetic server sitting in one physical server, while cloud computing will deliver you with that virtual instance on a cluster of servers that are sharing resources. Cloud hosting is when a cloud service vendor provides a virtual machine instance that does not have fixed computing attributes.

There may be a minimum or maximum size configuration for the server. VPS or managed virtual servers are delivered as a traditional managed server, although running as a virtual server, typically in a multi-tenant environment. VPS generally is less expensive.
