Teachers and professors are two different professions that belong basically to the academic field. They are well-respected people in society. They are committed to improving themselves in their professions, and also play major roles in impacting the societal populace. Teachers are a set of people who are trained to or involved in the act skillfully and patiently imparting knowledge to people, especially younger people in schools. A professor, on the other hand, is someone that has acquired much and deep knowledge on a field after a long period of study and plays the role of imparting knowledge and skills to people.

Teachers and professors are two different professions that belong basically to the academic field.
A teacher teaches in the school at the elementary, middle, and secondary level; while a professor lectures at the higher institutional levels, such as colleges and universities. Another difference between these professions is that teachers' level of education and salaries are not as much as those of professors. Professors are required to have obtained a bachelor's degree, Master's degree, and beyond; but teachers do not need that much level of education, just a bachelor's degree will do.

A teacher is one who teaches varied subjects at school, whereas a professor lectures at a college or university. A teacher may only be required to have a certification of teaching that is awarded in every country. A professor should or may need to have a doctorate. A teacher can be teaching everything from one subject to multiple subjects, while a professor generally teaches only one discipline at his or her place of the lecture.

A teacher must provide adequate knowledge to his or her students. A teacher may also help counsel and guide concerning issues with the family and behavior. Professors must research in their field to continually improve, and they may also mentor graduate students during the academic training period, and a professor is paid a higher salary than a teacher.
