Song can be defined as a musical composition with lyrics which is performed by singing. There are different types or genres of songs. Every region, country has their own cultural type of song. A song can be in form of praise or worship. Hymn is also a type of song. Hymn is mostly sung in the church, and it is a traditional type of song which is sung by the whole congregation by stressing or emphasizing on every word that makes up the lyrics. Hymn has a special rhythm and melody, hymn is best sung with instruments like keyboard and others.

Like I said earlier, song can be in form of praise. With this type of song, a single person might be leading it and it is mostly accompanied by a lot of instruments. Unlike hymn which can be regarded as a traditional song, songs in form of praise or worship are contemporary, modern and they are always changing. There is no particular pattern for singing praise songs.
