DML is the short form of Data Manipulation Language. It is an example of a computer language which is used by a computer programmer to have access to the database and do some manipulation depending on their actual needs. Different operations that can be performed with Data Manipulation Language include, inserting data, deleting and updating of data. DDL, on the other hand, is the short form of Data Definition Language. It is also a computer language which is used to modify and define data structures.

DDL can be regarded as a subset of SQL (Structured Query language) because it can also be used to have access to the database and make some changes or manipulations. For example, you can remove, add, and modify data within the database. DDL can also be to create different features in a database. DML can be represented in many ways, but it is mostly represented in the form of SQL
