Some people may become confused with the difference between a yeast infection and bacterial vaginosis but some symptoms will help you determine if you have any of these conditions. A yeast infection will make you have a discharge that is a bit thick and cloudy.

Those who have BV will notice that their discharge will have a fishy smell. Those who have a yeast infection may sometimes not notice any smell from the discharge. Those who have yeast infection will experience some discomfort because of the itch and the burning pain. Those who have BV will not go through these uncomfortable symptoms.
