In the most simple form, marketing is the method of defining consumer needs and deciding the appropriate way to satisfy those needs. On the other hand, advertising is the practice of marketing a business and its goods or services through paying platforms. To put it another way, publicity is a part of an advertisement.

There are times when people use advertising and marketing interchangeably, but they do have some differences. Marketing is known to make use of research and practice that will make sure that the product or the company that is being promoted will definitely become noticed by people. When it comes to advertising, people will act depending on the practice that they have learned.
