What is the difference between Android and Meego?

Android and Meego are both mobile operating system. A mobile operating system can be defined as system software that is responsible for the management of mobile devices hardware and software resources and provides common services for all programs. Android is a mobile operating system developed by Google, and it is a modified version of Linux kernel. Android is an older operating system that has been tested over the years by many phone manufacturers.

Android has been used for mobile devices like Samsung, Motorola, HTC, and many others. Meego, on the other hand, is a new mobile operating system that has not been so much tested by different phone manufacturers. Meego is developed by the joint effort of Nokia and Intel.
