Android is an older operating system that has been tested over the years by many phone manufacturers.
Android has been used for mobile devices like Samsung, Motorola, HTC, and many others. Meego, on the other hand, is a new mobile operating system that has not been so much tested by different phone manufacturers. Meego is developed by the joint effort of Nokia and Intel. Nokia has only used meego in building smartphone like Nokia N900. Another difference is that, there are thousands of available application that support Android, while there are few applications for Meego
