Eid al-Adha was celebrated/observed in 2019 on sundown of Sunday, August 11th, and it ends four days later on Thursday, August 15th. This year, in 2020, it will start on Thursday, 30th July and end on Friday, 31st July. This holiday marks the end of Ramadan, which is a month-long of fasting. Eid al-Adha always comes on the same day of the Islamic calendar.

The date of Eid al Adha may vary from country to country depending on whether the moon has been sighted or not. Eid al- Adha is marked at the end of Hajj, which is the annual Islamic pilgrimage to Mecca in Saudi Arabia. In the Muslim calendar, holidays begin on the sunset of the previous day, and Eid al Adha falls on the 10th day of Dhu al Hijjah, according to the Islamic lunar calendar. In the international calendar, the dates vary from year to year.
