Punjabi and Hindi are two out of about 22 different types of languages in India. However, there are some differences between the two languages. The first difference between Punjabi and Hindi is that Punjabi is the most spoken language in the Punjab region of India. Hindi, on the other hand, is one of the most spoken languages in India.

About approximately 42 percent of people in India speak Hindi. Punjabi is predominantly spoken in the northwest of India and also in some parts of Pakistan. According to research, about 108 million people speak Punjabi all over the world, about 76 million people talk to Punjabi in Pakistan, while 26 million people talk to Punjabi in India.

Writing Punjabi requires the use of individual scripts, and different regions in India have their way of writing it. Hindi, on the other hand, is mostly spoken in the northern part of the country. However, Hindi is the most spoken language out of the two.
