Enzymes and hormones are two essential substances in the body that help in carrying out the most metabolic and organic reaction in the body. For example, without enzymes in the body, the metabolic processes in the body will be occurring at a slower pace. However, there are some differences between them. Enzymes are protein substances that help in increasing the rate of biological chemical reaction in the body. They are like catalysts that speed up the rate of a chemical reaction.

Enzymes and hormones are two essential substances in the body that help in carrying out the most
For example, the breaking down of carbohydrates into starch is efficiently done by the enzymes. The roles of enzymes in the digestion of foods cannot be underestimated. Hormones, on the other hand, are organic substances which are produced in the endocrine gland. All the organs in the body have different hormones that help in performing their functions. We have hormone which is responsible for growth, reproduction, etc. While enzymes are protein substances, hormones are organic substances
