Cream of Wheat is usually only prepared as porridge while grits can be made into porridge or fried. Both grits and cream of wheat can be cooked by adding them to boiling water and cooking until they are thick, and the other ingredients, such as dried fruit, honey or nuts are added, which makes the porridge healthy, filling and thick.
