The GSLV uses cryogenic fuel while the PSLV does not. The GSLV has three stages, while PSLV has four steps. The GSLV has four liquid boosters while PSLV has six solid boosters. The PSLV is more dependable than the GSLV. The primary purpose behind the advent of the GSLV is the capability to lift larger loads into space.
