The Tika and Tika masala are both made from chicken chunks. So what is the significant difference between them? The primary physical difference between them is that tikka masala constitutes more masala or spices in it. Both tikka and tikka masala originated from India, but there is a little controversy about tikka masala that it originated from the United Kingdom in the 1970s, while some say it is from a state in India, (Punja). Tikka spread around the world from India, and tikka masala is one of the United Kingdom's favorite dishes.

When preparing Tikka, pieces of boneless chicken are baked together with a skewer in a clayey oven called tandoor. Certain spices and yogurt are marinated with it before baking. Tikka masala preparation is almost the say with that of Tikka, just that masala and certain mixed spices would be added. The two are with a red-colored creamy sauce that is spiced to contain tomatoes and some other ingredients like paprika powder, turmeric, and coconut cream.
