Sending a message is quite simple these days. This is good thanks in part to the advancement of the technology. Emailing is done when you want to send a lengthier message or one that is private. If you have an attachment, you can email. If you use chat, it is because you want to send a quick message to a friend. Usually, people do not send attachments when they chat compared to when they email.
