Getting a dog can be a wonderful experience for dog lovers. There are many breeds out there that serve different purposes. When you think of lovable family dogs, you may think of golden retrievers and Labradors. Both are huge dogs known for being loyal and great family dogs. However, they differ in some regard. Golden retrievers originated in the British Isles, and the Labrador retrievers originated most likely in Canada.

Golden retrievers are known for being calmer compared to the Labrador retrievers. Also, Labrador retrievers are more likely to be on their own than the golden retriever who would most likely hang around its owners instead of playing with other dogs. Labs also have shorter hair than the goldens.
