The longest day of the year is usually around June 20 to June 22. The day with the highest amount of sunlight is termed the longest day. This is true because, around this time of the year, we have the summer solstice which indicates that the northern hemisphere is tilted closer to the Sun causing us to experience a longer day.

At this time of the year, the Sun reaches its highest elevation. The northern hemisphere receives as much as 17 hours stretch of sunlight. The opposite of this happens around December 21 or 22. Hope you find this helpful.

The longest day of this year is the summer solstice that occurred last June 20 to 22 depending on the time zones of the different countries. The date may change every year, but the fact remains that this is the day wherein the earth is tilted in such a way that it will receive a lot of the sun’s rays. There are some people who are excited for this day because they feel that this signifies abundance and new beginnings.

There are also some people who say that summer is their favorite season. They feel that the summer solstice shows the beauty of season because of how alive everything is in this world when there is light.
