Google Voice and Hangouts are two important ways through which people are able to get in touch with their family, friends and loved ones. However, there are some differences between the two. Google Voice is a special service which comes with a package of a single phone number that is connected to all devices. Through the single number you would be provided with, you can send messages, call and send voicemail to people. The package also provides you the opportunity to use the service from anywhere and your phone number won't be affected.

Before you can be getting messages and calls from people, you will need to connect their numbers with the special number you will be provided with. Hangouts, on the other hand, is one of the most commonly used messaging apps which provides you with the opportunity to send and receive messages, photos and you can even make video calls with members in the group through the communication service in your Gmail. Hangouts can be used through Gmail app or by going through the website.
