There is a difference between the western churches of Christianity and the eastern churches of Christianity. However, both churches no matter where they are located celebrate Pentecost for the same reason. It stated long ago in Jesus’s days. It commemorates when the Holy Spirits came to the Apostles. Then they also came to the others who had followed Jesus Christ.

They celebrate the Feast of the Weeks or Feast of the 50 days. People started to celebrate it due to them reading it in the Bible. According to the book of Acts, this book details what happened so that this became a celebration or holiday. The bible is used by Christians to learn about what happened long ago when Jesus was alive.
